And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate. Genesis 3:13 NKJV

Years ago, I thought God gave me a word for someone, and when I told my husband about it, he replied. “That’s a word for you, not him.” It turns out that he was right, as usual. It certainly was a word for me. Over the years, however, I’ve discovered that satisfaction is a faith-packed word for all believers. Eve sure could have used some satisfaction in her life. Particularly on the day that she encountered the enemy.

Finding satisfaction in God requires faith. At its core, it’s a faith issue, and our satisfaction or lack thereof is linked directly to what we believe and confess about God. Once realized or attained, it is satisfying, more satisfying than anything else you can ever have. It’s wonderful to discover that in Christ Jesus, we find all we truly need. Since the garden, humanity has been longing and searching for love, acceptance, peace, and their purpose, and we have it all in Jesus.

Prayer: Satisfy our souls, O God! Please help us live in a state of satisfaction, looking to you, Jesus, the author, and perfector of our faith. Thank you, Jesus, for all that we have in you, you are enough! Amen and amen.
